Kix Brooks Autographed Bottle of Wine!
My oh my! Let me count my lucky stars! Kix Brooks (of Brooks & Dunn fame) donated an autographed bottle of wine (from his own label made right here in Middle Tennessee) to benefit my Team in Training fundraising for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society! I'm so excited and can't even believe it! I'm so thankful to Kix and to Arrington Vineyards for supporting me. I'm holding a special raffle to win this item. From December 3-12, every $25 donation I receive will get one entry for the raffle. I'll hold the raffle on December 13 and notify the lucky winner of their prize!
Don't miss out on your chance to nab this gem!
Donations/Raffle Entries can be made at my Fundraising Web Page.
(Only requirements are that you must be 21 years old and live in Tennessee since I cannot ship it. Or, have some way to transport it yourself. Or, be willing to wait till I make it up to Michigan again for the delivery). :-)

Handmade Items to benefit TNT

Check out my Etsy store for items that I have hand made (jewelry mainly) and which all proceeds will go to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I've decided to offer these items to help with my Team in Training fundraising efforts. (Here are just a few sample pictures of items I have available.)
Completed my first GTS
Here we go!! Saturday, 11/22, was our first group training session (GTS). Since it was our first GTS, all teams met together. It was fun to be with the bigger TEAM for the whole Nashville area for this first GTS. We also attended clinics on safety, nutrition, strength training and injury prevention. Then we all went out and did our first run...2 miles through HILLS!! I think the first hill kept growing as we were running up it - crazy. It was fun though. I met several members on my TEAM and even one member who is already done with all of her fundraising! Awesome. Oh, and we also got a free "tech" Team in Training hat. I just LOVE free stuff! :-)

Team in Training (TNT) for Country Music 1/2 Marathon!!
This spring I will be running my 2nd half-marathon, this time with Team in Training (TNT). I have a big goal and need a lot of help. Not only will I be running 13.1 miles, I am also raising funds to help find a cure for blood-related cancers. I'm asking everyone I know to please visit my TNT page and donate what they can. Even $5 will make a big difference! I will also be posting highlights from my training on there.
To find out more about my goals and involvement, please go to My TNT Page.

Welcome to me
I'm officially welcoming myself to the 21st century. Congratulations to me for setting up my own blog! I plan to use this blog to talk about things that hopefully aren't only interesting to me. I'm trying to do a lot with crochet projects (designing items, selling, etc.), so I'll probably talk about that on here often. I've listed some items on Etsy (store name is: kc crochet designs). This is a picture of an Amigurumi doll that I designed. Ellie loves it! It was very hard for me to work on it when she was awake since she would throw a fit if I didn't let her hold it.
Since my kids are my life, I'll be posting a bunch of family stuff out here too. To kick it off right, let me just start with saying that Nate is starting pre-school next Wednesday! Woop! Woop! I'm so excited - hopefully he will be too. :-) He goes back and forth between wanting to go and wanting to forget the whole thing. Hopefully once he gets there he will see how much fun it is and will love going. If he is anything like me, he will.
And, finally, Tony is coming home from Japan today!! It's only been 6 days, but it's been a VERY long 6 days. We are going to the airport today to meet him. We all can't wait!!
